(L to R) Marisa Cronin of Bedford, Alexander Gamache of Goffstown, Elizabeth Asmus of Amherst, and Carlos Turner of Dunbarton recite the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary during an hour-long May Crowning ceremony at Villa Augustina School in Goffstown on May 2. Seventy-two first and second graders lead more than a hundred of their classmates, teachers, parents and alumni in placing a garland of daisies and yellow roses on the head of a statue of Mary symbolizing the crowns of righteousness, life and glory that she wears. The Catholic Church dedicates the month of May to honoring the mother of Jesus. Villa Augustina School is an independent Catholic school serving families of all faiths with children in pre-K to 8th grades.
